DESPERATE EDO POLITICIANS RELEASE EACH OTHERS NUDE PICTURES

The desperation in the Edo state political terrain, seem to have become unbearably dangerous. Few  days ago, a naked picture of  current Edo PDP chairman, chief Osi Orbih, who allegedly slept with a call girl and refused to pay her the agreed amount, leaked online, and accusing fingers were pointing at his political rivals, CAN. Well as much as one will be meant to believe his claims, others, opined differently.
However, this claims, accusations and counter accusations came shortly after Governor Oshiomhole’s personal secretary was murdered by unknown gun men in Benin.
Shortly after the semi-nude picture saga, another obviously superimposed photograph of Governor Oshiomhole being given a blow job by a lady whom Gistclan was informed is an undergraduate of university of Benin.
The whole senerior which has been described by many as babric, simply signifies  the undying quest of the parties involved to mare opponents career politically, which sounds very childish said a source who pleaded anonymity.
As things stands right now, the stage seem to set for an intense political battle between CAN and PDP in Edo state.

JTF

The Joint Task Force (JTF) in Kano State, has confirmed to newsmen that JTF soldiers gunned down four suspected members of the Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati wal-Jihad, popularly known as Boko Haram.

The Army spokesman, Lt. Ikediche Iweha, said several members of the Islamist mililtants group were also arrested today at Hotoron Kwarin area after a gun duel that lasted for several hours.

This development forced the residents of Hotoro quarters of Kano municipal to stay indoors on Sunday morning for several hours.

Iweha said that the combat operation was successful, adding that “there was no casualty on the side of security forces.”

He failed to clarify number of arrest and items recovered, stressing that “what should constitute news to you guys is that we raided a hideout used by extremists this morning, four were killed while many were arrested.

GOV AMAECHI AND PETER ODILI'S RECONCILIATION SENDS TONGUE WAGGING

Odili and Amaechi

Dr Peter Odili, former Governor of Rivers State who was responsible for the political gansterism and bloodletting that coloured Rivers politics for eight years is back to PH after four years in exile and making peace with his boy, Amaechi, who is now Governor. The reunion was termed, a father and son reunion, considering  where their journey started from.

However, some indigenes of the state are still unhappy about the reunion. According to one of them, 'the mothers who lost their children in that carnage are still bleeding. Sometimes, life can be so unfair. Should the wicked go unpunished? Somebody please tell me..,'

An eye witness account states 'Indeed many present at the thanksgiving service at the Corpus Christi Cathedral were shocked when the officiating priest, Most Rev Dr Camillus  Etukudoh announced the presence of Odili and his wife, Mrs. Mary Odili (JSC) in the congregation among many others present to felicitate with the Amaechi’s on his re election.
Odili was decked in his traditional Rivers attire and the wife in suit in the front pew. Governor Amaechi who was also  in a white Rivers traditional outfit first shook hands warmly with his former boss before going to change into a flowing Okrika chieftaincy attire after which he came back to address the congregation. The governor expressed gratitude to his creator for his re election.
He said he was elated to be re united with his former boss. According to him, it was one of his requests before his creator that the reconciliation should be made possible before the expiration of his tenure.  He recalled effort made by some catholic priests and those around him to make the reconciliation a dream come true. He later had a long embrace with his former boss.
Some in the congregation apparently may have wondered why the governor had to go and change into an Okrika chieftaincy outfit before coming to speak to the church. According to his Acting Chief Press Secretary, Mr Blessing Wekina, the governor merely fulfilled a promise he made to the Okrikans when he celebrated his birthday in their midst on May 27, this year.  The Acting Chief Press Secretary said the governor had assured he would attend his swearing in ceremony inauguration in the attire they gave him during the birthday bash which symbolised the chieftaincy title they conferred on him.
As it stands, tongues are already wagging, with many already asking questions about the implications of of their reunion after four years.

Well, as they say, this is politics, and like they say, no permanent friend, no permanent enemy.

ANITA JOSEPH ROBBED ...New FJ Cruiser Stolen At Gun Point

Sexy actress Anita Joseph has a bitter story to tell last Wednesday night as she was attacked by armed robbers who made away with her new Toyota FJ Cruiser and other personal belongings. The ugly incident happened around Ogba area of Lagos, same area where popular Yoruba actor, Femi Adebayo was also attacked at gunpoint while returning from Sango Ota, few months ago.
Eye-witness account said the curvy actress was abducted together with her two nephews, Denzel and Shaun,  aged between 3 and 1 year who were in the car by the armed bandits as they later dumped them at a hangout in Ijoko Ota, Ogun State, with N3000 as transport fares.
Gistclan  gathered that Anita was robbed moments after an Entertainment journalist with The Punch Newspaper, Shina Oyetayo suffered the same fate. His Toyota Camry was also stolen at gunpoint at the same Ogba area.
Anita whose single titled ‘Go Gaga’ is currently making waves, returned home, but still traumatised resulting from the attack.
On the ugly incident however, Oyetayo narrates thus; ‘I was returning from work  at about 10:30 pm when I noticed a car tailing me. I stopped twice and they overtook me and I did as well but they still didn’t stop following  me. I couldn’t speed because my neighbour’s car was in between and I had to stop for my neighbour to go.
“ My in-law already opened the gate for me but I didn’t drive in just to be sure they were not after me. So, I parked outside the compound, and that was how they entered my car and took me away. They were five in number and armed to the teeth but I was lucky enough to be released at Ijoko. They didn’t beat me because I was gentle enough with them.” he added.  His Toyota Camry car  has since been recovered.
Ijoko, along Ota road in Sango Ota, seem to be the new hideouts for hoodlums now in Lagos, you would recall that, Now music Efe Omorogbe, 2Face's manager was also robbed of his BMW x6 along the same road at gun point. God will see us through

RASHIDI YEKINI: LOVED AS A PLAYER, BURIED LIKE A PAUPER IN NIGERIA

Nigeria’s all-time highest goal scorer, Rashidi Yekini, who died on Friday, was yes-terday buried like a ‘commoner’ in his Ira village in Kwara State, without his colleagues in the national team in attendance. He was aged 49.
Apart from Ike Shorun-mi, ex-Super Eagles goal-keeper, the graveside was devoid of any high profile footballer, including his colleagues to the USA ’94 FIFA World Cup.Yekini, while in the national team, had scored a total of 37 goals in 58 matches while he became the first Nigerian to win the African Footballer of the Year in 1993.
Yekini’s 37 goals for the national team is still a re-cord that is yet to be broken. He also scored the first goal for Nigeria at the 1994 World Cup, against Bulgaria, a match which the country won 3-0.
Also, no official of the Nigerian Football Fed-eration (NFF) was sighted during the burial rite witnessed mostly by locals in his native home. But the solemn event was, however attended by a former Secretary-General of the Nigeria Football Association, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi.
Also during the poorly attended burial, Yekini’s remains were put inside a rough wooden coffin devoid of any adornment. He was lowered into the grave at 4pm.
Furthermore, there was no ceremony to indicate that a star was being buried.
The Jinnizah prayers for the deceased was led by the Chief Imam of the town, Sheikh Sheu Tijani Giwa and supported by other Muslim clerics from the town.
In his sermon after the burial, the Chief Imam, Sheikh Giwa said that, every soul will taste death no matter the time.He said that everybody should do good things as if they would not wake up the next day.
Sheikh Giwa added that people should remember that life temporary and, “we must endeavour to do good and worship God because nobody knows the time he or she will die on this earth”.
The Chief Imam who sympathised with the people of the town, footballers, federal and state governments, however prayed Allah to grant him eternal rest.
While speaking with newsmen at Ira yesterday on the demise of Yekini, Ogunjobi, said, “It was sad that he (Yekini) died at a young age”.He said that the deceased had contributed to the development of Shooting Stars of Ibadan and the national team during his period.
“Two months ago, I was driving along Ring Road, Ibadan with one of my friends and he (Yekini) saw us and stopped and we ex-changed pleasantries and later, we called each other after that day and I was so shocked when I heard of his death yesterday (Friday) in Ibadan,” he said.
Ogunjobi added, “He (Yekini) was discovered by Segun Odegbami and me while on playing tours of Kaduna in 1981 and since then, Yekini has grown to be the biggest star when it comes to goal scoring in Ni-geria and Africa.”
He, however, called on “the Federal Government, the Shooting Stars of Ibadan and South-West governors to immortalise him, and not by naming any mushroom stadium after him but by putting in place structure or programme that will be of great attraction to foreigners in this country”.
The state governor, Al-haji Abdulfatah Ahmed in his reaction said, “He received with great shock and disbelief, the sudden and untimely death of one of the most finest and dedicated football players Nigeria has ever produced, Rashidi Yekini”.
The statement which was signed by Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ab-dulfatah Ahmed, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba said, “During his (Yekini) active days the late Yekini demonstrated uncommon skills on the field of play and commit-ment to the Nigerian project that he was known not only in Nigeria but across the African continent as a great footballer”.
The royal father of the ancient town, Oba Oyetunji Oyewale Oyetoro, described the death of Yekini as shocking and painful to the people of Ira, Kwara State and the country in particular.
He said that Yekini’s name had boosted the image of the town and he would ever be remembered.
Oba Oyetoro, who called on the Federal Government to immortalise him like it was done for Teslim Balogun, said such gesture would motivate more Nigerian footballers to contribute more to the development of football rather than love of money.
Also yesterday, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Kwara State Coun-cil, described the death of Yekini as a big loss to the country, noting however that the association was consoled that the football legend came, saw and con-quered.The Osun State gover-nor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, in his reaction yesterday described the death of Yekini as shocking.
He called for the setting up of an endowment fund for the family of the deceased. Aregbesola, how-ever, announced the sum of N1 million contribution of the state government towards the endowment.
In his reaction too, the National Secretary of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who said that he was not aware of the sickness of the deceased lamented that his death was a great shock to soccer development.
Oyinlola, who was an early caller at Ira to sym-pathise with family of the deceased, however, called on sports administrators to take care of ex-footballers so as to encourage the upcoming ones to develop soccer in the country.
Present at the burial were Ogunjobi, Shorunmu, the Ondo chairman of NFA, the members of ABS FC of Ilorin, Kwara United players, Commissioner for Information in Kwara State, Prince Tunji Moronfoye; Osun State Commissioner for Sports, Dr. Stephen Kola Balogun, representative of National Sports Commission, Mr. Stephen Olarinoye, and other sports men and women across the country.

SENATOR ANDY UBA BEGINS 2014 ANANMBRA GUBER RACE

Former presidential  adviser and the senator representing Anambra South senatorial zone in the country’s upper chamber, Dr. Andy Uba, has hinted of his desire to occupy the Government House of Anambra State which will become vacant in March, 2014 after Governor Peter Obi’s second tenure.
Uba was elected governor of the state in 2007, but had to vacate the office 17 days later, following Supreme Court’s ruling that Obi’s tenure had not eneded and that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, ought not to have conducted the election.
Addressing the people of Aguata zone where he hails from at the weekend to thank them for voting him into the Senate during the rerun poll, Uba said though he was not revealing his political future, the people of Anambra State should know that the journey has just begun.
He said: “This is a journey that requires the cooperation of all and we have to put everything into prayers. If we get into Government House, just give us one year and this state will become a destination for investors because we will provide the right atmosphere here.”
The senator said his main reason for assembling them was to thank God for using them to return him to the Senate at a time hope was almost lost.
He told the people that if he did not win the election, the Old Aguata Union, OAU, in Anambra State would have finished politically as it would be difficult for anybody from the area to win future election in Anambra State.Meanwhile, sources who spoke to us on anonymity have stated that following the war between sitting governor Peter Obi and APGA chairman, Victor Umeh and the exit of Ikemba of Nnewi, (Ojukwu), the coast seem very clear for  Andy who we also learnt will stop at nothing getting his mandate back.
'Well, this politics, nothing is outrightly static, lets fold our hands and watch the drama unfold in Ananbra, as we draw close to 2014', concluded a source.

BRUTAL KILLING OF A BUREAU DE CHANGE OPERATOR BY A LEBANESE ...50,00 Dollars

Ali, the victim

Bilal, the alleged culprit

35-year-old Ali Sani, a bureau de change operator in Apapa area of Lagos, least envisaged the tragedy that loomed ahead,  penultimate Monday,  as he set for his office. Like every other bureau de change operator, Ali called on passers-by to patronise him, in his hard currency  changing business.
Later that day, a telephone call, which signaled the beginning of the end of  Ali, came in with  the caller requesting for fifty thousand dollars. The call, according to his colleagues, came as an answered prayer for the  Kano State born operator  who, reportedly, rallied round to make up the amount. But, unknown to him, the caller had a sinister motive.
This was  confirmed as report was received later by Ali’s  colleagues that he was lying in a  pool of his own  blood inside an hotel on  Marine Road, Apapa. Sadly, as you read this piece, the remains of the bureau de change operator,  who hailed from Rimi town  in Sumalia local government area of Kano State, are lying six feet beneath the earth.

How he met his death
The caller, a 25-year-old  Lebanese, identified as  Bilal, as we gathered, invited Ali to the hotel. Immediately he stepped inside the hotel room , the Lebanese allegedly requested for the dollars which the deceased  gave to him. But instead of giving Ali  the naira equivalent,  four men were said to have emerged from  the toilet.
Before he  could fathom what was wrong, one of the men  landed a stick on  his head, causing him to fall.
In that state, the kingpin, Bilal, reportedly brought out a knife from his pocket and stabbed Ali in the neck, head, eyes and shoulder. Apprehension  set in after Bilal rushed out of the hotel room with blood stained shirt, attempting  to leave the hotel. But he was prevented by security  guards. Shortly after a mild drama ensued as the Lebanese reportedly brought out a knife threatening to stab whoever tried to block his way.
But for  the timely arrival of policemen from Apapa Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, Mr  Mohammed Mu’azu, the Lebanese would have made good his threat or escaped. He was arrested alongside two Nigerians  simply identified as  Segun  and Benjamin.
During interrogation, Bilal told policemen that his other  two partners in crime had escaped. It was discovered that the fleeing suspects, both Lebanese , are father and son. A friend to the deceased bureau de change operator, one  Muhammed Lawal, revealed that he discreetly followed Ali to  the hotel that fateful day.
He narrated,  “ When the  Lebanese informed  him  that he would send his  driver  to come and pick him to the hotel where he lodged,  he told me to follow  him secretly  behind. They drove in a  Toyota Camry car.   When they arrived the hotel, I hid outside.
“I waited  for my friend to come outside  but he did not and that made me suspicious. I  dialed his number  but there was no response. Not   long thereafter, I saw one white man with blood stain all over his body.  He  wanted to escape but the security guards started  shouting for help. The shouts  alerted other people in the hotel. And that was what made me call our chairman and my  other colleagues that they should help call the police, Lawal stated.
“Then, I approached the hotel gate and started hauling stones at the white man and shouting at the same time. In the process, I managed to grab him. When we followed him to the room he lodged in,  I saw my friend in a  pool of  his own  blood . And when the policemen conducted a search  of  the hotel room, they found  two other persons.”
The chairman of  the  bureau-de-change operators association, Mallam Garba Kano, also revealed that Ali was rushed to three hospitals where he was rejected. According to him, “ when I got wind of the report, I  alerted the DPO Apapa who immediately rushed there with his men.  But for him, the suspects would have escaped. We first rushed Ali to  a  hospital where he was rejected.
“We later took him to Apapa health centre where again he was rejected. We took him to one other hospital where  the same thing happened. By then Ali was no longer  talking. He was in coma. We then rushed him to Lagoon  Hospital  where he was accepted and we were asked to pay N2.5 million as deposit. But we were able to deposit  N750,000 before treatment commenced. Unfortunately he died hours later.”
It was not as if Ali  went to meet the Lebanese just like that. His telephone number was given to the Lebanese by someone  the deceased bureau de change  knew very well at a supermarket. Garba  lamented that members of his association had been under  incessant attacks  from criminals who hide under different guise.
In the past, he said gun wielding men would storm the area, shooting  his  members  and making away with their monies in naira and foreign currencies. Sometimes, according to him, robbers would pose as bank customers, asking his members to meet them  at the bank. But on reaching the bank, the operator would be attacked and dispossessed of  his money. Some of  his members,  he said, ended up losing their lives . So far, he said four of his members had lost their lives.

Where is the money?
There  is, however, a twist in the whole matter as the fifty thousand dollars Ali reportedly took to the hotel was,  yet to be recovered as at the time of publishing this report. Out of the amount, only ten thousand dollars was recovered.
We further gathered that when the prime suspect was arrested, a briefcase in which the hard currency was recovered  was taken from him and handed over to a police man. It could, however, not be ascertained if the briefcase contained the whole amount. But when asked, Bilal allegedly claimed he kept the money inside the briefcase.  This development  led to the arrest of the policeman.
Ali’s widow and three children left for Kano, on Wednesday, with the police still investigating the matter with a view to arresting  fleeing suspects.
