 Status update: Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan in an intimate wedding at his Palo Alto, Calif., home on Saturday.

The couple, who met at Harvard and have been going steady for more than nine years, took the plunge in front of an group of fewer than 100 family members and friends, according to an eyewitness account. The surprised guests reportedly thought they had gathered to celebrate Chan's graduation from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, on Monday, May 14, 2012.
 Zuckerberg made the marriage all the more official and public by, of course, changing his status on Facebook from "In a Relationship" to "Married."

The union of the two lovebirds added another momentous event to the 28-year-old's week, who on Friday made one of the most anticipated moves in finance history by taking his company public.

So what does a multi-billionaire give his college-sweetheart-turned-fiancée for a ring? A company spokeswoman said Zuckerberg designed the ring himself which featured "a very simple ruby."
Perhaps, kids will follow afterwards.

However, while some will say that Priscilla Chan just got so lucky, but it is really Zuckerberg who is lucky to have a girl like her. She's a Harvard graduate, has her doctorate, influenced him to create the Facebook Organ Donor app, and has been by his side since way before he had all his billions. So glad he didn't end up with one of Hollywood's ding dongs instead stated an insider.













PRINCE ALBERT OF MONACO'S WIFE CHARLEN FRUSTRATED AFTER INABILITY TO PRODUCE THE HEIR APPARENT

Prince Albert of Monaco’s new wife Charlene Wittstock has become ‘depressed’ at her failure to provide her husband with a legitimate heir, it was claimed as claimed by some insiders.

Princess Charlene is said to have struck a ‘deal’ with the principality’s playboy ruler to bear him a child after she tried to flee before their wedding last summer.

But the 33-year-old South African is now unable to get pregnant, France’s Voici magazine reported.

Albert already has already fathered two love-children, but neither can succeed him as they were both born out of wedlock.

According to the report, 'Charlene has made the subject of pregnancy a taboo topic around the Royal palace.

'She might have a smile on her face at official functions, but inside she is stressed and frustrated.

'This subject is weighing more and more heavily on her shoulders.'

Rumours of a rift and a ‘pregnancy pact’ erupted even before the couple married in a lavish state wedding ten months ago.

Charlene was said to have bolted for Nice airport two days before they married after hearing Albert had had a third love-child during their relationship.

Monaco officials were said to have coaxed her back by brokering a deal between the Prince and his reluctant bride that she provide him with a legitimate heir.

After that she would be free to leave of her own free will, it was reported last July.

One source said at the time: 'Charlene will provide an heir, then if things don’t go well, she will receive a generous divorce settlement once she’s served a decent amount of time.'

Albert, 54, has one seven-year-old son Alexandre with Togolese air hostess Nicole Coste. He has another daughter Jazmin, 20, born after a brief affair with American estate agent Tamara Rotola.

Her husband suggested the rumours might have been triggered by jealousy from people who 'did not like the fact that we were finally together and married.'

Charlene, who was accused of trying to run away three times before she married, claimed the rumours were purely generated to sell magazines.

But she spoke earlier this year about her ‘loneliness’ in Monaco, and added: 'I only have two people I consider friends here.'

Before he met Charlene four years ago, Albert dated dozens of the world’s most famous and beautiful women, including Angie Everhart, Brooke Shields, and supermodel Claudia Schiffer. He also battled persistent rumours he was gay.

A Monaco government spokesman insisted that once he met Charlene, Albert knew he had finally found the woman he wanted to provide an heir.

The spokesman told France’s high society Point de Vue magazine last year: 'Charlene has beauty and style, and we are all praying that she will ensure the royal succession in our principality. 

'Albert has never settled down in the past, but knows that the time is now right to produce the next ruler of Monaco.'

Bolt and Slovak in a controversial kissing section

World’s fastest sprinter, Usain Bolt and his latest girlfriend may have raised the dust beyond their imagination, as their love affair finally sees the light of the day.

The world’s fastest man has been dating fashion designer Lubica Slovak for six months and the relationship is described as ‘very serious’.

A friend of 28-year-old Miss Slovak declared: ‘Love has no race – it’s a heart to heart connection.’


But 25-year-old Bolt might be in for criticism from most Jamaican ladies, who from what we gathered are unhappy over his choice for a white woman over them. 

He is the reigning Olympic champion and world record holder over 100 and 200 metres. 

He hopes to smash his own records and retain his titles in London this summer, watched by his Slovakian-born girlfriend.

Miss Slovak migrated to Canada with her father when she was 14 and studied fashion design at the Ryerson University in Toronto. 

She moved to Jamaica after she ‘fell in love’ with the island during a holiday in 2000.

Miss Slovak was introduced to Bolt last year through a mutual friend, reggae singer Tami Chynn, with whom she owns an award-winning clothing line called Anuna and a Kingston boutique. 

Shortly after they met, she interviewed Bolt for a feature in a Slovakian newspaper and they began dating in mid-November, according to what Gistclan reliably gathered. ‘They are very comfortable together and easy. They do quiet dinners in  the country and trips to Montego Bay. They don’t really do the red carpet thing.’

Fiercely private, the couple made sure they were not seen together at functions and spent most evenings at Bolt’s gated home in a suburb  of Kingston. 

But when a picture of them kissing was published in the Jamaican Observer last month, they received a barrage of abuse. 

The accompanying article included a controversial cartoon of a black woman with ‘local’ written on her T-shirt looking upset while Bolt runs into the arms of ‘Slovakian fashion designer’. 

One reader responded: ‘They make he mingle with white girls. She just divorce him and take away his money’, while another added: ‘I hope when he’s ready to settle down he chooses a beautiful Jamaican black woman ... In the meantime have fun “responsibly”, cause some “pretty girls” just a wait fi “lock u down” for the wrong reasons.’ 

Others called Bolt ‘the next Tiger Woods’, referring to the mixed-race golfer and his £60million divorce settlement with Swedish former model Elin Nordegren.

Over the years, Bolt has earned a reputation as a ladies’ man and has previously been linked to British waitress Rebeckah Passley and Jamaican reality TV star Taneish ‘Lava’ Simpson.  

A friend said: ‘Usain is a young man at the top of his game and did date a few women, but he has settled down now with Lubica.

‘It works because they are both successful and focused. She focuses on her designs, he focuses on his sport. 

'There is no stress in this relationship. She is a calm, very nice, industrious, busy woman. She has her own life so she isn’t demanding.’
